Minnesota at a close

Well camp is over... Well almost... It is late Thursday night and the students are supposedly dreaming away until the knock at their door at seven thirty tomorrow morning. This has been a great week. The students have been fantastic and engaged with really good questions where you can tell that they are thinking through the things we are discussing in the classroom.

On Wednesday afternoon we went out witnessing at a local park and zoo. It was quite an interesting day. The students are always a little nervous to go out and have conversations with people concerning not only their faith but Jesus Christ and who people think He is and was. The specific area we were at on Wednesday had a zoo, amusement park, and a regular park all put together in one big crowded area. Through our conversations with people, we had three people indicate faith in Christ which was awesome. For some reason though when you start asking people about Jesus, people get a little touchy. In fact, we were told at the end of our time that the amusement park was going to call the police if we did not leave. We were doing nothing wrong, it was our right to be there and exercise our freedom of speech. However, we did not want to make a stink or poorly represent Christ in what we were doing by letting our flesh get in the way. However, as the security guards were telling our students to leave the park they walked up to several of them and the people they were talking to responded in a very cool way. So the security guard walks up and tells the person who are students are talking to that they do not need to talk to these students because they are so bothersome. The person they were talking to then turned to the security guard without missing a beat and said, "hey, we are just having a conversation." Then turned back to the students and continued in the conversation. All in all it was a very successful day...

Not only did we have three people indicate faith in Christ on Wednesday but we also had a couple of students at camp trust Christ to save them this week as well. Though most of the students who come to Worldview Academy are Christians, it is always neat to see those who came into camp without a relationship with Christ and searching for the truth, find the truth located in the person of Jesus Christ. So awesome. It has been a great week. It would have been a great week even if we did not get to see the fruit that we saw, but sometimes it is nice to see the fruit God has drawn to Himself. Praise Him for all He is doing.

Please continue to lift us up in your prayers for health and for our finances in this time. Thanks for your prayers and support.
