The sun is shining brightly today and the temperature is up in the nineties it feels like. It is warm. We are in our fourth week of camp and things are running very smoothly. We have around 85 students here with us this week, which makes for smaller small groups. The staff are enjoying that because they can get more intentional one on one time with each member of their small group throughout the week. These students from the first hour of camp have been excited to be here. There are a couple that are not so excited but our staff has done a fantastic job of loving them and showing them Christ through that love.
Last week at Wheaton College ended well. We had some bad weather throughout the week and as a result our witnessing time was cut short. However, it was still impactful as many of the students faced thier fears. We talk a lot at camp about the idea that what you fear is what you will worship. If you give in to fear, that fear is what ends up controlling your actions and not the desire to serve the Lord. Those students faced that fear when they went out witnessing and it was great to see.
Another exciting story came late Thursday night at our campfire. We have a time every Thursday night (the last night of camp) where students can share what God has done in their lives at camp and how they have been changed. We had a couple of students who got up and shared how God had revealed to them, throughout the week, that they really were not committed to living for Jesus Christ. That they knew all the right things to say, but it was not a heart faith. Through these students another student accepted Christ into her life. Just listening to how others had been changed and had recognized that Christ was not at the center, had a huge impact on this student realizing the same thing in her own life. It was exciting to see God work in her that way. It was both an emotional and encouraging time for the student and her small group leader was also incredibly encouraged as she had been praying for this student all week long. Praise God for the work He has done!!!
On another note, God continues to provide for us as we prepare to move down to Midland. The house that we have been given to live in free for up to a year by one of the churches in Midland has become an even greater blessing this week. We found out that they are going to pay for all of our utilities as well on the house!!! This is such an amazing blessing!! We are so thankful for God's continued provision. God is providing for our needs as we also found out that student loans are going to be more costly to pay back then we had originally anticipated. However, we do not need to stress because God is in control of it all, and who of us by worrying can add a single hour to our lives?

It is amazing to know each wedek that we walk onto campus that there are people all over the country praying for us and this amazing ministry. Please let us know how we can pray for you as well!!!
Tomorrow is our witnessing day here on campus, please pray that God would bring people to campus and that He would give these students peace as they are nervous to share their faith!!
