Wheaton College

Wow! It is hard to believe that we are already in our third week of camp. Last week was another great week. We had over 190 students attending. With this increase in students came dynamics changes as the small group leaders had to adapt to larger groups. Our staff is really starting to come together as we have now been serving along side each other for over three weeks. There have been many amazing things that God has done as He has taken students and changed not only their hearts towards Him, but also their actions. That is something we have experienced a few times these past two weeks of camp. Students who know and understand intellectually what Christianity is all about but many have trouble living that out in their lives. They struggle with being accepted, with temptations from friends, and with not knowing what purpose God has for them. It is amazing to see God take those attitudes and doubts and allow them to experience Him in a way many have not experienced Him in before. It is not about the camp "high" but it is about changed lives. To go back and have confidence in the faith they have and a desire to share that with all those around them, as Christ has called us to do. We are so thankful for you as it is through your support that we are able to experience and witness God's hand transform these lives and to build up and strengthen the foundations of so many other students. We really appreciate your prayers and support!!!

As we enter into our third week of camp there are a few things that may guide you as you pray for us:

1. Continued strength. We are beginning to get tired in our flesh and our staff is beginning to experience that as well. Please pray that God would continue to give strength from Him and that our flesh would die off as we rely less on our own power and more on Him.

2. Witnessing on Wednesday. We will be going out into downtown Wheaton, Illinois. We would ask that you would pray for opportunities for the students. Also, that God would give us His words to speak.

3. Health. Our staff has remained fairly healthy these first two weeks but as our flesh begins to get more stretched and tired, we become more vulnerable to illness. Please pray that God would protect us from illness and that we would be operating at full strength.

4. Support. Though we are at camp, we are still in the process of raising our full support for the move to Midland. God has provided in so many unexpected ways and we are excited to see what He has in store for us. We are so confident in God and so grateful that He has allowed us to step out in faith in this manner.

Thank you so much for your prayers. We really appreciate you. Please feel free to check out Worldview's website. http://www.worldview.org . There are pictures of camp and other ways to stay up to date on the occurrences at camp. Thank you again so much for your prayers and support. God has blessed us with so many amazing friends and families. We are so grateful!!!

In Christ Alone,

Mike & Angela Tiland
