Fall Camp

Wow! It seems like we just posted something last week. Yet, as I can see it has been almost a month. Time has really flown!!

Well, we are all settled in down here in Midland and are enjoying the sun. The first two weeks we were here it semed it did nothing but rain. We were beginning to question those that told us we were living in the desert. Now we are beginning to see the desert climate come around.

Things in the office are going quite well. We recently (three weeks ago) hired a new registrar. So, we have added another person to the team here in the office. We have also made great steps in getting our new office, the one that is being remodeled, closer to completion. We hope to be in that new office around Thanksgiving. It is exciting to see our new office and what it will be like when we finally get all moved in and situated. By that time, it will be geting close to camp for the summer. Time really flies.

This week we have been going through our final preparations for our fall camp that is coming up next week. It starts on Sunday October 1st and will go through the 6th. Michael has finished hiring all of the staff for that camp and finalizing all of the details and expectations for them. It is going to be a great week!!

Angela has been working hard talking with parents of students coming to camp and coordinating with the faculty all of the travel and arrangements that they need for camp. She has also been working with the Christianity and Culture as we are seeking to build this aspect of the ministry up and do more conferences than we have in years past. As of now, we already have around seven conferences booked. It is exciting to see the growth in these and the potential that they have to continue to expand.

But, right now the majority of our focus is on camp for next week. Angela will have a full week as she will have a small group of girls and will also be staff directing for the females at camp. So, she will get to work closely with her small group and also get to mentor and work with the women on staff. Michael will be learning and training to be a camp director. He will be working closely with Randy Sims, the executive director as he focuses on seeing camp through the eyes of a camp director.

Please keep us in your prayers for this week of camp. Pray for the students that are coming to camp and all of the staff as well. Pray that God would do great things through them as they rely upon Him and trust in His power. We are so grateful for all of your prayers and your support. God is doing amazing things.

God Bless!!!

Mike & Angela Tiland
