At Camp

It is a great feeling to be back at camp. to be able to see the faces of the parents we have talked to in the office and to see the families that were diligently praying with regards to coming to camp. It is so encouraging to see their faces; and camp has gotten off to a great start.

We went witnessing at University of Texas this afternoon and it was quite an adventure. The students were challenged as they spoke with, among other worldviews, Islam. There was a booth set up for an Islam club meeting on campus and they were eager and willing to talk to our students. The students walked away with some phenomenal experience in defending their faith as well as a thirst to continue to learn more.

We have a young staff this week that has done a great job of seeking their students out intentionally and attempting to love on them with the love of Christ. It is so cool to recognize that these young men and women are not perfect, nor would claim to be. Yet, God still chooses to use them to accomplish His plan and His glory. God has given us His Word and His Spirit that we might know Him and love Him. He is so faithful!!!

We have only one full day left of camp and that is going to fly by. Our 2006 camp season will be officially over and it is back to work for next season. God has so graciously called us into His purpose and His plan and we are so excited to see where that leads us. Thank you for your prayers and support. May the Lord continue to bless and encourage you as you follow hard after Him!!!
