Christianity & Culture Conferences

Last week we finished our last camp for the season; our next camp will be the first part of June in 2007. Now we are focusing on the second aspect of our minsitry which is Christianity & Culture Conferences. These are weekend conferences that are held at churches throughout the country where Worldview will bring in between two and four faculty members to teach for the weekend. The focus is still the same but with a wider range of age groups in the audience. It is such a great way for the church to be encouraged and to promote the importance of apologetics and worldview thinking in the church body.

This year we have already done one conference in Midland and we currently have ten more on the calendar, which is more than we did all of last year. In fact, we are trying to boost the numbers for these conferences so we can continue to spread the influence of the truth and validity of consistent Biblical thinking. There are two main ways that we are attempting to grow this aspect of the ministry. The first is we are beginning marketing in World magazine for these conferences. The second way is to attempt to make these conferences more excellent in every aspect of the conference. One of the ways we are doing this is to send two people (us) to these conferences to assist and promote camp. Michael will be doing mostly technical things for the conference as he helps set up for the conference and helps it to run more smoothly. Angela will be talking about camp with attendees of the conference and promoting resources at the booktable.

We are so excited about this opportunity, not only because we are able to travel with Worldview to different churches around the country, but also to be a part of the growth of these conferences. The potential of these conferences is great and to be able to be used by God in this way to help this strategic minisry grow, is so exciting.

This weekend we will be in Elk River, Minnesota where we will be holding a conference with over 200 people. The faculty coming in for the conference are Bill Jack, Dell Cook, and Mark Bertrand. Please pray for the safety of travels for these men and that the attendees of the conference would be eager and willing to learn.
