Monday Afternoon

What a beautiful Monday afternoon here in Midland. The sun is shining and the sky is clear. We begin yet another exciting week here in the office as we continue to not only prepare for our camps next summer, but continue to improve our materials and book conferences for churches across the nation.

We recently ran an ad in World Magazine for our Christianity & Culture Conferences and within a weeks time, we have already received three phone calls which it looks like will translate into three new conferences. It is really exciting. This aspect of the ministry was always looked at as something that just existed to get us through to the next summer, but we have really focused on trying to imrpove the conferences and so far it sems to be working. We already have conferences scheduled in Idaho, Texas, Florida, Ohio, California, and more for the upcoming year!!!

This last week we were in the new office painting for most of the afternoons as we are trying to get the office ready for us by Christmas. It is going to be a great office with everything that we need in it. We are ready not only for the office to be out of our house, so we can have a living room again, but also so that we can be in a more permanent office.

We love being down here in Midland. We have met so many amazing people that are so focused on seeing God glorified throughout their lives. We actually had a couple over for dinner on Saturday night who are the Young Life leaders here in Midland. They are such great people and it has been very nice for us to be able to connect with people down here. We are finally settled in to a home church here in Midland. It is called Midcities Community Church and we really feel like this is the church God wants us to be at. We are trying to get more involved with the church, but with us traveling and being gone so much, it makes it more difficult.

We are also volunteering Tuesday nights at Teen Community Bible Study. It is a time where high school students come to a community Bible study and are split up into small groups and we study the Word together. It has been challenging in one respect because the high school. students that we often see at Worldview are serious about their faith and growing in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ. However, for some of these students, community Bible study is a place where they get a free meal and get to hang out with their friends. Through this change in dynamic we have been challenged to meet these kids where they are and still teach them and disciple them. It has been challenging but our desire to work with high school students no matter their motivation, we know that God is continuing to shape us and mold us into the people He wants us to be, and this is part of that process. We love being able to serve in this way as well as within the office.

We are so overwhelmed and humbled by the way God has provided for us as we are constantly reminded of that. With the task of raising more support looming ahead of us, we again are tempted to rely upon ourselves, yet reminded of the amazing ways that God provided for us as we trusted Him and stepped out in faith. Please continue that we would be fully dependant upon Him as we seek the financial support that we need. The house that we are living in down here in Midland has been such a great blessing but we know that we need to begin making other living arrangements for next year. The Lord is so much bigger than this, though, and we are so excited to see how He will work in our hearts and in our lives.

Please let us know how we can pray for you. We want to join with you in your lives and pray with you as you continue to walk with the Lord. All praise and honor and glory go to His name and for His fame!!! He is worth every aspect of our lives!!!

Have a blessed day in the Lord.

I loved hearing about how you are getting the opportunity to reach out to teens of a different mindset and stage of life than you currently minister to. I'm sure you both are doing very well. Who wouldn't like you to speak into their lives? I am also excited to hear about how your conferences are gaining speed. Making apologetics available to an entire church congregation is something that we hope to make available in our church someday and I'm counting on Worldview Academy to help (;
