What a wild week it was in Flagstaff this week. It was a far different group of students thatn the week previous and it serves as a great reminder that no two camps are ever the same. Each camp takes on it's own personality and it's own sort of attitude. This week was a tougher week for our staff as they had to work harder than the past two weeks to initiate relationships with these students. They did a great job, though. What at the beginning of the week looked like it could be a really rough week, turned into a challening but fruitful week.

One of the best things about weeks like this is that we are all reminded that it is nothing that we do, but it is all God working through us. The staff tried all kinds of things to get these students into it, but in the end it was nothing that they did, but it was clearly the Lord. In fact, we had almost 45% of our students sign up to come back next year.

After the end of camp on Friday we decided to treat the staff to one of the geological wonders of the world (the Grand Canyon). For many of them it was the first time to see this incredible sight and they took it all in. There were more pictures snapped this afternoon than at our wedding (and that was a lot). It was great though to look out and see a sight that can only be described as the work of the Lord. For the staff it was also a great way to relax and unwind a little after a challenging week of camp (the Wendys after the Grand Canyon probably helped a little too...)

Please continue to keep us in your prayers regarding travel this weekend and for the remainder of the summer as well as for a place to live as we are seriously looking at apartments and other options. We greatly appreciate your prayers.
