Hard to believe it has been that long...

It has been since early August since we last updated our blog. Wow, that is not good. Well, we apologize for the lack of bloggage (not sure if that is even a word.) As you can imagine there have been a lot of exciting things happening around here both for us personally as well as for Worldview Academy. The biggest item on the horizon is our fall camp coming up this next week in New Braunfels, Texas. We have another full camp which we are extremely excited about. Michael will be directing that camp and Angela will be the senior staff director for the women. It has been a tough camp to find staff for this year as many of our staff are now in school and have many other committments. However, the Lord provided such an amazing staff. It is by far the most experienced fall camp staff we have ever had! Looking at where we are now compared to where our staff was three weeks ago (even a week and a half ago) it is really encouraging and exciting!

One of the constants of the months of August and September has been our Christianity and Culture Conferences. Angela has been extremely busy talking with churches and booking travel for our faculty all over the nation. We have had already had three conferences with four more on the calendar for November. Then, in the months of January and February we have five weekends in a row with conferences! This aspect of our ministry is continuing to grow immensly... We had the opportunity to venture up to Washington in the middle of this month to help with one of these conferences. It is always encouraging to hear the pastors and volunteers of the church describe their passion for exactly what Worldview Academy is doing. The Lord has blessed us to be able to work with this strategic ministry.

Personally, we have been doing great! We continue to learn more about each other and learn how we can better serve one another through our marriage. 1 Cor. 13 v. 7 says "(Love) bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." These four descriptive words sound easy but when you begin to dwell on what it means to bear all things and to believe all things, to hope all things, and then to endure all things, it is overwhelming. Thank you for your continued prayers of protection for us personally and for our marriage. We continue to feel so blessed to be in Midland and involved with so many great ministries here. If you have not experienced Midland, you should, it is great! (There are no beaches, mountains, or oceans though... sorry)

As many of you also know, we have been seeking to raise more financial support to continue to serve here with Worldview and get into a more permanent housing situation. We have currently raised about 35% of the additional $1,300 per month that we are seeking to raise. Having not raised any additional support last year here in Midland,it has been so encouraging to hear the response of so many close friends down here. As Michael sat down with one of our very good friends down here, he said to Michael, "I would be so honored to be a part of what God is doing through you guys and through Worldview Academy." We were humbled by that... Thank you for your continued prayers for our financial support, we have given it up to the Lord and allowing Him to do with it what He will.

We are so grateful for you! Please check in with our blog this week as we will be updating it frequently. God bless you!

In His mighty & loving grip,

Mike & Angela Tiland
