Here we go again...

Well here we go again... We are here in Bartlesville, Oklahoma right now as we speak preparing for the upcoming seven week summer. Our staff all flew into Tulsa and are excitedly awaiting what the Lord will do this summer. We have a staff team of around 60 college students who are here this week. We will spend the week going through camp logistics, schedules, staff responsibilities, and team bonding. This week is the most important week of the summer for our staff as it is crucial that they get off on the right foot or it becomes very difficult to recover. Please pray for our directors and for their discernment as they lead their staff.

Angela and I are doing well. It has already been an adjustment for us as Drew is exploring his new home for a week. The adjustment comes in that the carpet is much dirtier now than at home. There is also much more to explore than before. He has done well so far and was quite the trooper for our 14 hour drive from Midland to Bartlesville.

One of our specific prayers right now or let me clarify, one of my specific prayer requests is for joy. Last summer was probably the most difficult summer of my life and the most stressful with everything with Drew and Angela not being there at the beginning. It was a very tough summer and there was much more looking forward to the end of the summer and the getting back to normal life rather than looking forward to what the Lord would do. This summer I want to experience the joy of being at camp again and am praying that the Lord would give us joy at camp even if it is tough. I can honestly say that the first day has been joyful. I ask that you would pray for me in this specific request.

I will keep you updated on our endeavors of the summer.

Mike
