10 Hours Later

What a day. It started with an adventure to Fed Ex as we mailed t-shirts to our counterparts on the east coast. We then proceeded to hold closing and graduation for the week. Then, two hours later, we were ready to leave Waco, Texas and head for Amarillo, Texas.

After driving from 3:00 pm until 1:00 am we finally arrived. It will be our longest drive of the entire summer. The staff loved it though as they continued to bond and gel as a team. We now begin to look forward to next week. That is one of the most challenging aspects of camp is just when you put one camp to bed, you then have to get geared up for another camp of new students. For these students this is the only week of camp for them and so the energy and the excitement we had, we need to have yet again next week.

Tomorrow our plan is to get checked into our dorms and begin to look around campus. This is our first year at the University of New Mexico and so it becomes more important that we establish great relationships with the facility representatives on campus.

One wee down, seven to go! 177 students have more knowledge in truth and grace and we are so excited to see the students who God has for us this week.
